Visvesvaraya PhD scheme

IIIT Hyderabad is happy to invite applications for PhD admissions with the support from Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), MCIT, Govt. of India under the scheme titled "Visvesvaraya PhD scheme". This scheme is for ESDM and IT/ITES sectors. Under this scheme presently admissions are open to PhD Degree program on Full Time (20) / Part Time (10) basis. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for admission to PhD Program for Spring 2016 semester, under the above scheme.

The major features of the scheme are given below:

Full Time

• Monthly scholarship of Rs.22,500/- (likely to be revised) per month for first two years and Rs.25,000/- (likely to be revised) per month for rest 3 years.
• Reimbursement of rent for PhD candidates would be based on actual and subject to a maximum of 30% of the fellowship amount.
• nnual contingency of Rs.30,000/- .
• Financial Support (up to Rs. 50,000/-) for attending International conferences

Part Time

• One time incentive of Rs.2,50,000/- on successful completion of the PhD degree.
